About Ms. Bailey
Hello! My name is Ms. Bailey and I am the elementary instrumental music teacher for the Riverside and Highlands schools. I began my own musical journey when I joined my school’s band program in the 4th grade. I have performed in a number of ensembles including the Atlantic Wind Symphony, the North Shore Philharmonic, the Concord Band, the Middlesex Concert Band, the Harvard University Wind Ensemble, The Saxyderms, and the Metropolitan Wind Symphony. I have been playing saxophone for roughly 20 years and joining band has been the best decision I have ever made!
My goal is to make learning a new instrument a fun and positive educational experience. My students learn how to read and play music on the instrument of their choice while learning responsibility and organization (coming prepared and on time to class) and teamwork (working with a group in which every individual is a valued member).
I am looking forward to the 2019-2020 school year, welcoming back returning members and getting to know new members and their parents. If you ever have a question, please do not hesitate to contact me. I am at both Highlands and Riverside on Mondays, Highlands all day Tuesdays, and Riverside all day Wednesdays. You can reach me on my contact page or e-mail me directly: [email protected]
Thank you and I look forward to another great school year!
